I received the 6.5 ton log splitter a week ago and have already used it 3 times. So far, there hasn't been a log that it has not easily split, and quite a few of the logs were wet and very dense.
The only negative is that the plastic cover for the hydraulic control lever was already broken in the box. However, I contacted Bilt Hard and they credited me the $13 so that I could buy one on Amazon.
On a personal note, I chose to purchase the log splitter without the stand, but in retrospect, I should have spent the extra money to get the stand. Without it, there is a lot of bending down or sitting on a stool to both split the wood, and then pick all the cut wood up, which is not great for the back. And purchasing the stand separately is costly in addition to the shipping charge.
Overall, I am very happy with this splitter.
