BILT HARD 22" Portable Sawmill with 9HP 270cc Ducar Engine | Includes 10 Saw Blades

I got the sawmill, my father in law and I got int together after about 3 weeks on rain, we poured concrete and anchored the sawmill down, we got it running the price was $250.00 better than other sawmill, was easy to put together, the quality was great, we cut a few logs and the boards looked great we cut from 1/4" to 2" great the saw is so easy to run that my father in law is 88 he loves running it, even my grandson is 14 and has autism can even run it. Pictures well be posted.

I have been following all the different brand of sawmills for about 10 years. When Bilt Hard offered the 36" for a reasonable price, plus all the extra benefits like engine size with elec. start and rail length. I couldn't resist the purchase. I am totally satisfied at this point and can hardly wait to put it together and get to milling.

No directions on how to put it together !!! . The shipping went good and the product looks good But where do you start putting it together ???

The saw seems ok I haven't used it yet. I have found that the hight adjustment for sawing has guide to like count your turns to drop it an inch. Would totally have to watch measuring stick. The motor i haven't started it yet. They sell it as a 25 hp but the says it's a 17 hp which I think will be fine. Over all looks good for the money.

This is serious equipment and needs a proper setup area. Once the track is square and supported, operation feels controlled and repeatable.

The wide capacity opened up logs we previously had to send elsewhere.

Take the time to level the track before the first cut. We rushed that part and had to make an adjustment, but after leveling it properly the four-post sawhead moved smoothly and the boards came off consistent. The electric start is especially welcome on a long milling day.

Got it on a Wednesday and with assistance of my 12 year old grandson got it assembled the following Saturday then got my site leveled and set up, about a week later transported mill to the site and set it up went to start it up and let it run a minute ran fine for about 30 seconds and made a helluava racket and blade locked up also came off, could not see a reason for this so I put on a new blade which also came off and ruined as it doesn't cut metal very well anyway all I want to do is cut some cedar square up some logs and cut 1/2" boards for a wall, about 300 sq. ft. anyone else have this problem and cannot get anyone at their location................

We needed longer boards for a barn repair, and the 200-inch cutting length let us mill them without changing our plan.

The Vanguard engine starts easily, and the sawhead feels solid on the track.

A sensible size for a smaller operation. It still needs a flat, dedicated area, but moving around it is easier than with a larger mill.

Milling on site has saved us several trips with oversized logs.

I have just finished assembling it, it seems to be built very well and heavy I have not got to run it yet but it seems like a well-built mill

The two quick-lock clamps hold a log more securely than I expected, and the leveling feet make fine adjustments possible along the track. There is a little learning involved in getting everything square, but our cuts improved quickly once we stopped rushing the setup.

The 32-inch capacity fits most of the logs on our property. It gives us useful lumber without taking over the entire work area.

I'm impressed with the heavy steel used for the sawmill...Customer service kept me updated on my delivery extremely well....The delivery was very quick...I had it in a week....after I assembled the unit, it fired right up, and works great....a great sawmill for a great price!!

Assembly took me almost a full day, but after that it’s been running well. I recommend double-checking track alignment before first cut.

This thing is heavier than I expected, but that actually helps with stability while cutting. Blade tracking needed minor adjustment out of the box. After that, cuts straight.

First board came off straighter than expected after a careful track setup.

Bought the 22-inch to cut wider boards and it does the job nicely.

Closest thing to a commercial setup without huge price.

After comparing several portable sawmills, this seemed like a fair balance between price and features. Assembly took patience but once running, it performs consistently. Would buy again.

Not too big, not too small — handles most logs I work with.

The 22-inch version works great for smaller diameter trees and hobby projects. Easy to manage alone.

This is my first portable sawmill and I’m glad I chose it. There’s a learning curve but plenty of online videos helped. Once dialed in, boards come out consistent.

The 15HP engine has plenty of power and handled oak logs better than I expected. Make sure to spend time leveling the track --once dialed in, the cuts are consistent. Shipping crate was heavy but well packed.

Feels like the sweet spot between size and portability.

One of the reasons I chose this mill was portability. I can move it around my property without too much trouble. Setup took some patience, but once done it works reliably.
