The lift measures 109.4 in. high and 137.2 in. wide, with 102.6 in. of drive-through clearance and a maximum lifting height of 71.7 in. Measure the raised vehicle height as well as garage doors, tracks, lighting, pipes, and other overhead obstructions before installation.
Install the lift only on a level, reinforced concrete slab at least 9.8 in. (250 mm) thick and rated at 3,000 PSI or higher. Do not install it on asphalt or concrete with cracks, seams, voids, or other defects. If the slab specifications are unknown, have it evaluated by a qualified professional before installation.
The hydraulic power unit requires a 220V, 60Hz, single-phase power supply and uses a 3 HP motor. It cannot operate from a standard 120V outlet. Electrical wiring and connection should be completed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local codes.
The telescoping swing arms and adjustable lifting pads accommodate a range of chassis heights and lifting-point locations. However, fit varies by vehicle. Confirm that all four pads can be positioned squarely under the manufacturer-approved lifting points before raising the vehicle.
Mechanical safety locks are installed on both carriages for secure load support. To lower the vehicle, raise the lift slightly to release the load from the locks, then disengage the lock on each carriage before operating the lowering control. Always lower the lift onto the mechanical locks before working under a vehicle.
Professional installation is strongly recommended because column positioning, anchoring, leveling, cable adjustment, hydraulic setup, electrical work, and operational testing are safety-critical. Follow the PLA-1028BH manual and all applicable local building and inspection requirements.
