Bought the 18" bilt hard after TS Helene dropped trees on my property. 16 trees later and the saw has been a rockstar. Some say it's hard to start, not really, follow the steps. Some say it's loud, it is it's a chainsaw. Chain was sharp out of the box and held up well

Bought to clean up major tree damage from Helene!

Started right up with no issues. After a few uses it wouldn't start. Dealer put a new spark plug in and it worked fine (the 'old' one looked perfect). The chain tensioner wore out quickly, got a new one for $7 on line. Another month went by, and it wouldn't tighten again. So I ordered another one. The replacement chain I bought won't go on the bar (18 inches), so I used it on my Poulan Wild Thing. The Bilt Hard goes through it's small gas tank quickly, and is loud as hell. I've gotten pretty strong pulling it so much to start it. I paid $125 and got my money's worth out of it, but prefer my $120 Wild Thing that is 12 years old.

This cuts much better and faster than the old gas Homelite and Stihl saws that I own. Plenty of power. I seem to have a bit of a problem keeping the chain tension exactly as I like it, but it just takes a couple of minutes to adjust.

It’s Loud as Hell but works As it Should haven’t fully tested but took along time to start I almost gave up so be patient with it

 Only improvement it need is a softer pull start handle
